Rocketboom has its first advertiser

And the winner is…starfinder5, for the price of 40,000 clams.

Who starfinder represents…we’ll have to wait until Monday to find out. (see below)

In the meantime, today’s Rocketboom is a couch-based interview with Amanda, where she talks about what it’s like to make $40k auctioning off adspace on your vlog. As you can imagine, smiles and giggles are the theme of the day.

UPDATE: Just as this story was published, I got an email from Ms. Congdon herself. She informed me that the first Rocketboom advertiser is TRM, a global ATM company traded publicly through the Nasdaq. The next week has already been sold to Earthlink, and the ‘boomers are in discussion with several other major advertisers for the weeks that follow.

Congratulations to Amanda and Andrew–sounds like they’re buying the first round tonight.
