Mark Cuban’s $200,000 blog entry

cuban_homeless3.jpg

People keep asking us what it takes to make the A-list. And we keep feeding them some garbage about “there’s no simple formula or automatic pass to make you an A-lister.” But today we can confirm one definite exception:

Getting fined $200k for blogging is a guaranteed pass to permanent A-listdom.

No matter how many New York clubs won’t let you in, crossing over into six-digit fines for what you say on your blog means you’ll always have a place at the top of our list. At least until inflation makes that sum seem paltry (so probably another good three years).

Kudos Mark. You make us all proud. (via)

  1. And I thought the greatest threats to free speech were the US and Chinese governments.

Any idea how much that is per word?

I feel an incredible pull to be more sarcastic and controversial in solidarity with Mark.

  2. and to think i was just joking around about who i’d have to sleep with to get on the A-list today. maybe him? ;)
that is INSANE!!! BUT the best a-list shit i’ve heard in a while.

  3. Somehow magic happened last night when I saw a very healthy good looking young man open the door to let his dance instructor in to begin training for DANCING WITH THE STARS new season.

As an avid fan of this ridiculous bit of entertainment which I have found myself fascinated with, I was most impressed when I saw that he had a pad and pencil and was writing down steps while recovering from a hip replacement; the fac that he showed, to the world, this very heart rendering piece of surgery took me back. Never realizing that Mark Cuban owns a basketball team or that he has wealth, I was in awe that he said he entered the competition because he melts when his little girl says, ‘DADDY, WHAT NEW DANCE STEPS HAVE YOU LEARNED?”

And so I watched the men create musical havoc as they performed their unique mojos and savvy struts into the heirarchy of the new season.

So, when Mark Cuban arrived with brown tails with patches I thought, as an authentic bebopper once married to AL HAIG, the chosen pianist of Charlie Parker and Dizzy Gillespie, innovators and titans of that crazy music called: BEBOP, “THIS GUY IS SENSATIONAL! The joie de vivre on his handsome face, his understated elegance and panache allowed me to think, ‘he could win this thing!’

I don’t know about what it is that people are saying about his basketball team, I’m going with his DAUGHTER and am going to wonder what new dance steps he’s learning. HE IS ON A ROLL AND HE IS A DADDY…the rest is nickel beers…give him some slack, he’s just had surgery.

  4. What happened to the antiamercan trash that you put out Mr Cuban. Why did the public not pay up? (no problem those San Fran nuts will go watch it, you hope. If not them well theres always those nuts in europe… Jajaja..) They didnt pay up because the movie sucked and the Amercan public new antiamerican trash when they saw it. oh i forgot no one went to see it.
