Six Apart Goes Down

Earlier this week, Typepad, Live Journal, Typekey and all the other Six Apart-hosted sites experienced some prolonged downtime. Was it, as the 6Aers said, a “sophisticated distributed denial of service attack” or was it more like a total screw-up by a Net security company called Blue Security?

  1. At least it wasn’t aimed at them this time, unlike the hacking attack on LiveJournal in January.
